Monitoring and ensuring the compliance of Regulatory and other activities related to Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils and Students’ Associations and their Branches as defined under The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, The Chartered Accountants Regulation 1988 and as per Directions and Guidelines issued by the Council, Executive Committee and Management Committee from time to time as under:

• 1. To submit recommendation to President/Executive Committee/Management Committee/Council on the following:
  
  
  • a. Setting up Branches of Regional councils of ICAI
    
    
  • b. Setting up Branches of Students’ Associations of ICAI
    
    
  • c. Issuance of New Directions/Guidelines, Amendment(s) in existing Directions/Guidelines of the Council/Management Committee/Executive Committee regarding functions of Branches of Regional Councils
    
    
  • d. Issuance of New Directions/Guidelines/Rules, Amendment(s) in existing Directions/Guidelines/Rules of the Council/Management Committee/Executive Committee regarding functions of Branches of Students’ Associations and Students’ Associations
    
    
  • e. Performance criteria for Annual Awards to Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils, Students’ Associations and their Branches
    
    
  • f. Awards to Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils, Students’ Associations and their Branches
    
    
  • g. Action based on deviations reported regarding functioning of Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils, Students’ Associations and Branches of Students’ Associations as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/ Guidelines/ Directions/ rules of the Council
    
    
  • h. Any other issue(s) pertaining to functions/functioning of Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils, Students’ Associations and Branches of Students’ Associations including their Managing Committee Members and Regional Council Members
    
    
• 2. To recommend the release of eligible sanctioned grants to Regional Councils and their Branches - Revenue Grant, Rent Grant, Maintenance Grant, Library Grant, Public Relation Grant, Special Grant etc.
  
  
• 3. To recommend release of eligible sanctioned Revenue Grant to Students’ Associations and their Branches
  
  
• 4. To conduct/monitor Orientation Programs for Managing Committee Members of Branches of Regional Councils, Branches of Students’ Associations, Members of Regional Councils and Students’ Associations, employees of Regional Councils and Branches.
  
  
• 5. To monitor functioning of Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils, Students’ Associations and Branches of Students’ Associations including their Managing Committee Members and Regional Council Members
  
  
• 6. To ensure compliance of Directions/Guidelines issued by Head Office from time to time to Regional Councils, their Branches, Students’ Associations and their Branches
  
  
• 7. Any other functions assigned by the President, Executive Committee, Management Committee and the Council.”
