Classroom (Physical)/ Virtual Certificate Course on Business Analytical Skills

Skill Enrichment for Chartered Accountants involves systematically identifying skill gaps and engaging in continuous learning to enhance professional capabilities. It encompasses both technical expertise and essential skills like communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and ethical decision-making. This sustained effort helps CAs remain relevant, competent, and adaptable in an evolving global landscape. This certificate course equips learners with the analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills needed to make data-driven business decisions. It focuses on using real business data, modern analytical tools, and industry-based case studies to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Business Analytical Skills are designed to help Members of ICAI to make smarter, data-driven decisions that improve efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness. They bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights, ensuring that businesses can adapt to changing markets and client needs.

The modalities for the said Classroom (Physical)/ Virtual Certificate Course on Business analytical skills are as follows:

1. Objective: This course is intended to equip Chartered Accountants to enrich their Business Analytical skills to enhance their portfolio.

2. Eligibility: Members of ICAI

3. Total Number of offline/ Online Classroom Interactions: 5 Days (Offline)/ 10 days (online). Classes will be on weekends/Weekdays.

4. Attendance: 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Test. However, the Chairman of the committee has the discretion for a minimum waiver of days/hours in exceptional cases.

5. CPE Hours: The CPE credit of 30 Hours will be given to the participants. 25 CPE hours can be allotted for completion of 80% attendance and a balance of 5 CPE hours will be awarded after the Assessment Test.

6. Methodology of teaching: Apart from the comprehensive theoretical aspects, this course will sharpen the expertise and excellence of our members through case studies. Participants will have to undergo a test at the end of the course to get a completion certificate.

7. Faculty: Faculty will be drawn from the practicing fraternity, members, and other academicians from the field who have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in the subject.

8. Fees: For Members: Rs 12,000/- plus GST(Offline); For Members: Rs 4500/- plus GST (Online)

9. Medium of Classroom Session (Virtual/Physical)/ Assessment: Classroom Session (Virtual/Physical)/ Assessment Test will be conducted in English Medium only.

10. Features of the Assessment Test:
  • The Assessment Test will be conducted in Online/Offline Mode only
  • The question Paper of the Assessment Test will contain 50 objective-type multiple-choice questions for 100 marks.
  • There will NOT be negative marking for wrong answers
  • The duration of the examination will be of 1½ hours
10. Passing Criteria of the assessment test
  • The minimum mark for passing the Assessment Test is 50 out of 100 i.e. 50% of Marks secured in the Assessment Test.
  • The candidates who successfully pass the Assessment Test will be eligible to get the Online/ Offline Certificate subject to the online/offline conduction of the certificate course.
