ICAI has recently been granted by XBRL International the status of XBRL Indian Jurisdiction. To support the Jurisdiction, ICAI is establishing an XBRL Department at its headquarters at New Delhi.

 

ICAI invites applications for the position of Deputy Secretary from suitable candidates to head the XBRL Department.

 

Major responsibilities for the incumbent include in-house development and maintenance of XBRL taxonomies for Indian adoption and implementation; liaising with members of the Jurisdiction and other interested parties; and organising outreach actions to ease implementation of XBRL by ICAI members.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

¨      A Chartered Accountant at a senior management level with at least eight years of post qualification experience including successful experience in XBRL project development and/or management   

¨      Must possess XBRL technical skills and knowledge of financial reporting environment

¨      Must have an understanding of, and be sensitive to, the challenges associated with the adoption and application of an emerging technical standards developed for use in the world’s capital market and by other users

 

Emoluments   

 

Present total monthly emoluments in the pay scale of Rs. 14300-400-18300 will be inclusive of Basic Pay, DP, DA, CCA at Central Government rates and HRA at 40% of the basic pay plus dearness pay, plus other usual benefits as of the rules of the Institute.

 

Relaxation in eligibility criteria, pay protection and higher start can be considered for deserving candidate.
