Expression of Interest for the Medical, Term Insurance Schemes and Free/Discounted Software for the Members of ICAI

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established in 1949 by an Act of Parliament viz., The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountants in the Country. It has around 3.15 lakh members and around 90,000 firms specialising in traditional areas of audit, direct, indirect & international taxes including GST and in emergent areas like insolvency, financial services, risk management and corporate re-structuring etc.

The Committee for Members in Practice (CMP) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is a non-standing Committee formed under regulatory provisions of Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 to address the issues of profession and challenges faced by the CA Firms & Members in Practice. It aims to encourage and enhance close links between the Institute and the Chartered Accountants, so as to provide them, a base of reference in terms of knowledge, expertise, skills and assistance in their professional growth.

One of the key initiatives of the Committee is to extend various welfare measures to its members through arrangements with leading service providers for offering services at concessional rates, which the members may choose to avail.

In the current scenario, when the country is going through a tough time due to COVID 19 pandemic, the CMP, ICAI wishes to handhold its members so that they can sail through the crisis period with ease. It wishes to enter into arrangements for Health Insurance, Term Insurance Companies so that the members are able to get the medical and life insurance with super top up at concessional rates to fall back upon at this time of uncertainty.

Further the Institute encourages and enhance close links between the Institute and the Chartered Accountants, so as to provide for them, a base of reference in terms of knowledge, expertise, skills and assistance in their professional growth, simultaneously pursuing the goal of providing newer opportunities to the practitioners & CA Firms. The Committee also arranges Software’s relevant for the Practising Members of the Institute.

Thus, we seek expression of interest from the Health Insurance and Term Insurance Companies (IRDA accredited companies) with Super Top up for offering health insurance and term life insurance services and various Software Vendors, who are interested to provide Free/Discounted Software’s relevant to the Practitioners & CA Firms of ICAI to our members at the best terms and conditions.

We will request the service providers to send their expression of interest at cmp@icai.in by 7th July, 2021.
