| By virtue of the Notification No.1-CA(7)/92/2006 dated September 13, 2006 regarding the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Regulations, 2006, it has been decided by the Council to discontinue admission to Professional Education (Course-I) and Professional Education (Course-II) with effect from September 13, 2006 at 12.30 Noon. Registration for Common Proficiency Test under Regulation 25C and Professional Competence Course under Regulation 25D of the said Regulations will commence from September 13, 2006 at 12.31 P.M.

| Existing students of Professional Education (Course-I) may switch over to Common Proficiency Test, if they so desire and such students of Professional Education (Course-II) who fulfil the criteria for admission to the articleship as stated in Regulation 45 [ i.e. only those who have passed Professional Education (Examination-I) / Foundation Examination ] may switch over to Professional Competence Course, if they so desire. Existing students are advised to go through the Transition Scheme hosted on the website for necessary information / clarification.
