With a view to provide its members with an opportunity to enrich their experience in an international domain, the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India is organizing a Study Tour to China and Hong Kong from 19th to 29th November 2007. CA. Shanti Lal Daga, Chairman, CPE Committee is the Study Tour Director and CA. Subodh Kumar Agrawal, Central Council Member, CA. V. C. James, Central Council Member and CA. Atul C. Bheda, Central Council Member are the Coordinators for the said Study Tour. 8 CPE credit hours would be granted for the said Study Tour.

The tour includes visits to various places in China and Hong Kong. The tour will provide an opportunity to the members to gain an insight and exposure to the organizational practices, traditions and the local culture in China, which have all together made China a leading country in the world. The study tour will assist the participants to experience an unfamiliar environment with a view to explore new avenues. This study tour is an appealing and interactive experience to learn from and with Chinese counterparts and hence, will broaden the global mindset of the participants. The tour will prove useful in respect of numerous fields of practice e.g. comparative research, cultural/historical foundation, policy, reform, and professional development etc. Thus, it is an effective step towards strengthening long-term individual and professional relationship. We propose to have a meeting with regulators, our counter parts there, Chamber of Commerce, Multinational Auditing/Consulting Firms and Stock Exchanges.

The delegation size would be 40 participants. Registration for the study tour would be given on first-cum-first served basis. The cost of the above study tour has been tentatively fixed at Rs.80,000/-(Rs. Eighty Thousand Only) per person inclusive of airport tax, Airfare International, relevant visa fee, hotel accommodation (Abroad only), sightseeing, meals, and transport arrangements etc. The delegates would board from New Delhi.
