With respect to the subject, Reserve Bank of India has advised as under:
- In case of any doubt/query during the course of conduct of audit, the auditors may be advised to seek clarification from the Institute.
- In case the Institute is not able to resolve their queries the matter may be referred to Reserve Bank of India, Department of Banking Supervision, Central Office Mumbai by the Institute.
- The clarification furnished by RBI/issue resolved by ICAI may be published on the website of the Institute for the information of all its members.
