Terms of Reference of the Beneficiary Schemes Directorate

  • Facilitation of Beneficial Products and Services
    To facilitate beneficial products and services relating to skill development, knowledge enrichment and management, yoga and wellness sessions (online/offline), work life balance initiatives, and other personal or professional security and benefit schemes for the growth and development of Members and Students of ICAI and other beneficiaries, if any.

  • Assessment of Stakeholder Requirements
    To assess the welfare, product, and service requirements of Members and Students of ICAI and other beneficiaries, if any, through surveys, data analysis, and stakeholder consultations, and to identify gaps in existing support mechanisms and beneficiary schemes.

  • Exploration of Strategic Tie-ups
    To coordinate with companies, entities, banks, and financial institutions for exploring strategic tie-ups to offer beneficiary schemes providing free or discounted products and services relevant to Members and Students of ICAI and other beneficiaries, if any.

  • Review of Existing Schemes
    To periodically review the terms, coverage, structure, effectiveness, and value addition of existing beneficiary schemes and recommend continuation, modification, or discontinuation of such arrangements, as appropriate.

  • Evaluation of Proposals
    To invite proposals from beneficiary scheme providers, evaluate such proposals, and negotiate suitable terms and conditions in the interest of Members and Students of ICAI and other beneficiaries, if any.

  • Documentation and Agreements
    To draft and vet documents required for the implementation of beneficiary schemes and execute Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) or agreements with selected partners/entities, subject to vetting by the Legal Section.

  • Governance and Service Framework
    To define roles, responsibilities, service standards, and grievance redressal mechanisms for the effective implementation and management of beneficiary schemes.

  • Communication and Awareness
    To publicize available beneficiary schemes, ICAI will leverage its communication channels, including e-newsletters, online and offline publications. This will be accompanied by providing FAQs, guidance notes, and essential support for members and students to access and utilize these schemes effectively. Additionally, ICAI will conduct Awareness Programmes, Training sessions, Webinars, and other awareness initiatives to promote and facilitate the effective utilization of benefits offered by the Directorate.

  • Technology and Digital Platforms
    To develop and provide IT-enabled services, electronic platforms, media channels, or other digital interfaces to facilitate access to existing and new beneficiary schemes, along with relevant content for stakeholders.

  • Promotion of Well-being, Work Life Balance & Sustainable Practice
    To promote the well-being of ICAI stakeholders and strengthen professional excellence by fostering healthy work life balance practices, Environmentally Sustainable Habits & Practices and encouraging participation in activities such as art, culture, literature, yoga, and meditation for holistic development.

  • Centralized framework for the entire ICAI network
    To streamline, standardize & Implement the promotion and utilization of beneficiary schemes, a centralized framework for the entire ICAI network, rather than allowing individual Branches and Regional Councils to handle it independently, ensures consistency, broader reach, and more effective utilization of the schemes.

  • Practice Management Software (PMS)
    To effectively promote Practice Management Software (PMS) among ICAI members and students, a centralized and uniform framework can be adopted, ensuring broad adoption, consistency, and ease of use across the ICAI community.
