Announcement
Ministry of Corporate Affairs has accorded its in-principle approval on the proposed Stipend rates payable to Articled Assistant undergoing 2 years of practical training under the New Scheme of Education & Training and draft amendment in the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. In terms of the requirement of sub-section (3) of Section 30 of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the notification containing draft amendments has been published in Part III Section 4 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 25th June, 2026 seeking comments from the persons likely to be affected thereby. The said Notification has also been hosted on the website of the Institute. The Link to reach the same is https://resource.cdn.icai.org/93090boso-aps5752-gazette-notification.pdf. The proposed Stipend rates payable to articled assistant undergoing 2 years of articled training have also been hosted on the website of the Institute.

The stakeholders may send their suggestions/objections by 5th August, 2026 in regard to the aforesaid draft amendments within 30 days from the date, the copies of the aforesaid Gazette are made available to the public i.e. 4th July, 2026 for consideration of the Council by visiting the following google form link: https://forms.gle/hrhgHJWcJz745i87A
