Non-compliance of simple requirements - a bottleneck in enhancing quality of service to members and students

As you are aware the procedures for dealing with various activities have been simplified and rationalized and made available in the form of Members Manual and Students Manual and also hosted on the Website of the Institute. Copies of the Manuals are also given to the Members and Students at the time of their enrolment/registration. In order to assess the compliance of requirement by the members and students vis-à-vis disposal of activities by DCOs, a review has been made based on the data given in the pendency report for August, 2004 with reference to certain specific activities like enrolment of members, grant of COP, admission as fellow member, restoration of name, constitution and re-constitution of firms, registration of students to various courses, termination re-registration permission to study and completion of articles. The position of receipts, disposal, pendency and the discrepancies in respect of these specific activities for August, 2004 is as follows :

It may be seen therefrom that 56% of the pendency in the case of members and 73% of the pendency related to articles are due to discrepancy emanating as a consequence of non-compliance or incomplete fulfillment of the requirements by the members and students concerned. The nature of discrepancies are indicated below for the general information of members and students :-
