ICAI Signs MoU with The Art of Living to Promote Holistic Well-Being of Members and Students




The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) through its Committee on Promoting Work Life Balance, has entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Art of Living (TAOL) on 10th February, 2026. The partnership focuses on enhancing overall personality development imbibing value-based education, ethics and moral values among Chartered Accountants and CA students, contributing to the future of the profession.

The MoU reflects ICAI’s commitment to developing not only technically competent but socially responsible professionals who contribute to nation building through integrity, accountability and ethical values. The collaboration aims to integrate overall wellness, stress management, and inner development initiatives into the professional ecosystem of Chartered Accountants.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, President, ICAI and Shri Rajeev Nambiar, Director, Programs, TAOL in presence of CA. Jay Chhaira, Chairman, Committee on Promoting Work Life Balance and CA. (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Secretary, ICAI and Central Council Members.

Speaking on the occasion, CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, President, ICAI said, “Today’s evolving professional landscape calls for a balanced approach that integrates technical excellence with personal wellness. This partnership with The Art of Living will enable Chartered Accountants and CA students to manage the academic and professional pursuits while sustaining clarity of thought and inner peace, thereby nurturing emotionally strong and resilient Chartered Accountants.”

Last year, on 12 February 2025 the President, ICAI constituted a dedicated Committee on Promoting Work–Life Balance, recognising the need for professionals to pause, rejuvenate and pursue personal well-being in an increasingly demanding work environment. The Committee focuses on enhancing physical, mental and emotional wellness of ICAI members and stakeholders, enabling them to achieve sustainable productivity and professional fulfilment.

This collaboration with the Art of Living reaffirms ICAI’s strong commitment to the holistic well-being of its members by integrating emotional wellness and moral responsibility into the professional journey of Chartered Accountants. Through this initiative, ICAI further strengthens the enduring pillars of trust, integrity and accountability that define the profession.
