The ICAI is the apex accountancy body established by an Act of Parliament for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. During its glorious existence of sixty-three years, ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accountancy body not only in South Asian region but globally as well. ICAI requires a Consultant in its Technical Directorate - eXtensible Business Reporting language (XBRL)

The role requires a mix of technical and managerial skills. The candidate shall be able to provide technical inputs to e-governance and policy cell to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) with respect to XBRL taxonomy. The candidate shall also be responsible for coordinating on regulatory compliance related aspects between ICAI/ICSI and the MCA.

Qualification and Experience:
The candidate must have a finance background (CWA/CA/CS) with 2-3yrs post qualification experience in XBRL/ Taxonomy/ Development of Taxonomy/ XBRL filing. The candidate would be required to:

Review of taxonomy received by MCA from ICAI, RBI, etc.
Training/Monitoring/Review of Technical aspects of XBRL taxonomy.
Review of Business rules for development of XBRL validation Tool.
Assistance on mechanism for verifying authentication and certification of XBRL filings for better quality XBRL filings.
Coordinating response with respect to XBRL taxonomy related queries addressed to MCA

Thorough knowledge of Revised Schedule VI and Accounting Standards along with knowledge of regulatory compliance of Company Laws is essential. Working knowledge of MCA XBRL taxonomy 2011, MCA 21 filling and fair understanding of Cost Accounting Record rules shall be preferable.

Candidates with impressive, consistent and proven academic/professional track record and relevant post qualification experience may apply. Remuneration is negotiable commensurate with the qualification and relevant experience. Relaxation in Eligibility criteria can also be considered for deserving candidates.
