Dear Members,

The Committee on Financial Markets and Investors' Protection (CFMIP) of ICAI, actively seeks the valuable perspectives of its diverse members regarding the Consultation Paper released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on “Providing flexibility to Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Venture Capital Funds (VCFs) and their investors to deal with unliquidated investments of their schemes beyond expiry of tenure”. This inclusive invitation specifically addresses proposals A, B and C outlined in the consultation paper. Recognizing the significance of engaging the expertise and insights of its members, the ICAI encourages a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the proposed amendments. This collaborative approach aims to ensure that the regulatory framework effectively addresses concerns and aligns with the best interests of the financial markets, fostering transparency and integrity in the realm of securities regulation.

Members are encouraged to share their informed opinions before February 02, 2024 and contribute to the regulations that uphold the principles of fair and orderly market conduct.
