“Supplementary Study Paper (Part II)” covering the following chapters-

  • Chapter XV: Compromises, Arrangements and Amalgamations,
  • Chapter XVIII: Removal of names of companies from the register of companies,
  • Chapter XX: Winding up, and
  • Chapter XXI-Part II: Winding up of unregistered companies of the Companies Act, 2013

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide Notifications dated 7th of December & 26th of December, 2016 notified various sections of the Companies Act, 2013. Also, on account of the enforcement of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, many consequential changes have been bought in the Companies Act, 2013.

With the enforcement of these sections, the corresponding sections of the Companies Act, 1956 are not in existence and have been replaced with these notified sections of the Companies Act, 2013. These Notified sections of the Companies Act, 2013 are relevant and applicable for Final November 2017 examination onwards.

For the convenience of the students, “Supplementary Study Paper (Part II)” on the above chapters are made available to the students. The aforestated chapters contained in the study material of the Final Course paper 4: Corporate and Allied Laws (January 2016 edition) shall stand not applicable and students are advised not to read these chapters. Further students are advised to ignore the aforestated chapters covered in the Practice Manual (January 2017 edition).
