The Agra Branch of CIRC of ICAI jointly with Agra Branch of CICASA under the aegis of Board of Studies hosted a National Conclave for CA students on 19th & 20th December, 2014 at Soor Sadan Auditorium, Agra with the theme “UDGHOSH - TO RAISE YOUR KNOWLEDGE”. This Mega Event was attended by about 1031 students across the Nation.

The ball set rolling on 19th December, 2014 and Conclave was inaugurated by our Chief Guest Dr. Ram Shankar Katheria (Minister of State, Human Resource Development, M.P. Agra) and Guest of Honour CA. Nitish Agarwal (Chairman CIRC of ICAI). Other dignitaries present for the occasion were Shri Vijay Kapur, Director Board of Studies, ICAI, CA. C.L.Yadav, Chairman CICASA, CIRC, CA. Umesh Garg, CIRC Member, CA. Vinay Mittal, CIRC Member, CA. Sarvesh Kumar Bajpai, Chairman, Agra Branch and CA. Pramod Singh Chauhan, Chairman, CICASA Agra, CA. Amit Bansal, Vice-Chairman Agra Branch and CA. Nikhil Gupta, Secretary Agra Branch. The entire team of Agra CICASA Prateek Jain, Vice Chairman, Yash Jain, Secretary, Arihant Jain, Treasurer, Akriti Gupta, Academic head, CICASA, Kriti Khurana, Cultural Head, CICASA, Saksham Katyal, Library Head, CICASA Agra The lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries had marked the start of the auspicious occasion.

To encourage the Students, Shri Vijay Kapur, Director Board of Studies, ICAI had graced the occasion. A Special Session was held on 19th December, 2014 where not only students and members greeted him but also felicitated him in the presence of CA. Nitish Agarwal, Chairman, CIRC of ICAI, CA. C.L.Yadav, Chairman CICASA, CIRC, CA. Umesh Garg, CIRC Member, CA. Vinay Mittal, CIRC Member, CA. Sarvesh Kumar Bajpai, Chairman, Agra Branch and CA. Pramod Singh Chauhan, Chairman CICASA Agra, Agra Branch. His address to the gathering was really a motivating factor for students.

The two days National Conclave was spread into four (4) Technical Sessions on various topics of relevance and a special Motivational Session. Total 12 students had presented their papers in the above Technical Sessions. The expert speakers to these Technical Sessions were CA. Dr. Girish Ahuja, CA. Atul Gupta, CA. Amarjit Chopra (Past President, ICAI) and Mr. Rakshit Tandon. A motivational session was also organized for the betterment of students on 20th December, 2014.

On the 20th December, the Valedictory and felicitation session of this conclave was graced by the Hon’ble Vice-President of ICAI CA. Manoj Fadnis. He motivated the students for better studies and also told about the various changes that may come in future in the syllabus of CA curriculum. The felicitation of all the committees of this conclave along with the MOCs, Rank Achievers and CICASA team was done by our Hon’ble Vice-President of ICAI CA. Manoj Fadnis.

The Conclave not only provided the students an opportunity to express themselves by presenting technical papers in presence of highly acclaimed dignitaries but also aimed at providing a platform for CA Students to learn and discuss topics of professional importance and to exchange ideas, share views and renew contacts.

The entire event was successfully managed by the students. They were managing the stage, handling the registration counters, back stage support, accommodation, boarding & lodging, travel and all other areas were taken care of by the students with the help of Members.

Apart from learning there was a sparkling Cultural evening “ENDEAVOUR” entirely carried on and performed by CA Students. The Conclave concluded with Vote of Thanks from the Agra Branch CICASA Secretary, Yash Jain.

We are sure that the Conclave was fruitful, enlightening and an educative experience for all the participants and that they enjoyed a feast of knowledge. The entire event was successful due to the team work and untiring efforts of around 200 CA Students and 30 CA Members. The entire event was widely covered by the print and electronic media.
