Alternative Dispute Redressal Cell and Certificate Course for Arbitrators

Dispute Resolution is an integral part of development process. In the emerging globalised world, the Alternative Dispute Redressal (ADR) system has been recognized as the time and cost effective mechanism. As a partner of the nation building phenomenon and appreciating the larger role of members in the Alternative Dispute Redressal mechanism, the Institute had constituted a Study Group to formulate the Recommendations on constitution of an ADR Cell, Rules of Arbitration of the Institute, Code of Ethics for the Arbitrators and to start a Certificate Course for Arbitrators. The Study Group had submitted its Recommendations. While appreciating the ADR system across the globe as well as the rules and practices followed by various organizations to settle the dispute, the Corporate Laws Committee has finalized the Arbitration Rules of the Institute, Code of Ethics for Arbitrators and Course Contents for Certification Course for Arbitrators. The ADR Cell will be constituted shortly.
