  • ICAI International Conference in Bangalore from January 29-31, 2015

    The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organized a 3 days international Conference on the theme Accountancy Profession: Building Global Competitiveness; Accelerating Growth from January 29th-31st, 2015 at Palace Grounds, Bangalore. The Mega-Conference was inaugurated by the Union Railway Minister Shri (CA.) Suresh Prabhu along with Rajya Sabha MP Shri (CA.) K. Rahman Khan, ICAI President CA. K. Raghu, Vice-President CA. Manoj Fadnis, SIRC Chairman CA. P. V. Rajarajeswaran and Bangalore Branch Chairman CA. Babu K. Thevar.

    The Art of Living spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar joined the Conference to provide a change in discussion and a breath of fresh air to the delegates of the International Conference on Accountancy Profession. Some of the other prominent speakers who attended the Conference included Dr. Kirit Somaiya, Mr. Arjuna Herath, CA.T.V Mohandas Pai, CA. Narendra Bhattarai, Shri. D. D. Misra, Mr. Jonathan Labrey, CA. Suresh Senapaty, Mr. Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Mr. Robert E Stroud, Mr. Rob Thomason, Shri Bharat Goenka, Dr. Habil Khorakiwala and others

    Around 2300 delegates from various nations across the world participated in the first Global Accountancy Conference in Bangalore. The International Conference aimed to bring together the stakeholders, policy-makers, industry and financial institutions to ponder and conceptualize strategic framework for building global competitiveness for nation’s economic development.

  • SAFA Meetings in Bangalore on January 28-29, 2015

    Coinciding with the International Conference; ICAI had also organised SAFA Committees and Board meeting together with Launch of SAFA House- SAFA's Knowledge and Training Centre. The SAFA events were attended by representative of SAARC countries namely Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and representatives of World Bank

  • Train The Trainer Programme On September 2 and 3, 2014

    In order to carry forward the dialogue of mutual cooperation between ICAI and ICAEW; ICAI had organize train the trainer programme for the ICAI faculty in India. Mr. Gavin Aspden, Director, Qualifications, ICAEW lead the programme. The intent of train the trainers programme is to provide training to faculty of ICAI to enable them to deliver training to ICAI members intending to pursue ICAEW course.
