The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised a two and a half day mega International Conference on “Accountancy Profession: Emerging Frontiers of Future Growth” from November 21-23, 2013 at Science City Auditorium, Kolkata. The Conference was inaugurated on November 21, 2013 by President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee in the benign presence of Shri M. K. Narayanan, Governor, West Bengal; CA. K. Rahman Khan, Union Minister of Minority Affairs; Shri Partha Chaterjee, Minister in Charge, Commerce & Industries, West Bengal.

The Conference dwelled upon many important topics of economic relevance. Some of the prominent speakers for the Conference were CA. Piyush Goyal, Member of Parliament, Dr. Amit Mitra, Finance and Excise Minister, West Bengal, Shri Yogesh J. Karan, High Commissioner of Fiji, Shri Sudhir Vasudeva, Chairman, ONGC, Shri R. K. Dubey, CMD, Canara Bank, Shri D. Sarkar, CMD Union Bank of India, Shri Dilip Chenoy, MD & CEO, National Skill Development Corporation, CA. P. K. Choudhary, Chairman, ICRA, Shri Sunil Kanoria, Managing Director, SREI Finance, Shri Koushik Chatterjee, Group CFO, Tata Steel and many others were present.

The Conference was attended by around 3500 delegates including delegates from all across the globe making it a grand success.
