    As regard to engagement of retired officers of Punjab & Sind Bank as concurrent auditor, they have informed that every possible care is taken to ensure the independence of the auditor and it is ensured that that such Concurrent Auditors should not conduct audit in such branch where he remained posted in the recent past.

  • RBI has decided to defer implementation of the revised eligibility norms for empanelment of SCAs of PSBs by one year i.e. the norms will be effective from the year 2014-15 and the same will be applicable to all the audit firms, irrespective of the fact whether they are continuing or not.
