Committee on Information Technology has been set up by the Institute to map IT developments and convert them into gainful professional opportunities. The Committee is also concerned with the training and development of the members in the field of Information Technology

The Committee on Information Technology (CIT) is currently conducting two separate courses ‘Post Qualification Course on Information System Audit’ and ‘Certificate Course on ‘Forensic Auditing and Fraud Prevention’.

The overall objective of Post Qualification Course on Information System Audit is to provide relevant practical knowledge and skills for planning and performing various types of assurance or consulting assignments in the areas of IS Audit, Governance, Risk Management, Security, Controls and Compliance in the domain of Information Systems.

The Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Prevention aims to develop investigative skills required to uncover corporate/business frauds, measure resultant damage, provide litigation support/outside counsel by applying accounting, auditing principles for the prevention of frauds.

Keeping in view the need of the hour to develop members in the field of Information Technology, the committee also organizes various seminars and workshops on Cyber Law, Information System Security, ERP, Business Analytics and other emerging technologies.

Further, in order to increase its faculty base and provide a well set platform to new aspirants to contribute as faculty for our courses and seminars, the committee is inviting applications from the IT experts, professionals having requisite qualification and experience.

Case Studies Required: The Committee also proposes developing series of Case Studies for Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit and Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Prevention to be used as part of the course deliberations and bring a publication in due course of time. Each case study should preferably contain a brief synopsis, objective, test data, processes/ procedures to be followed, sample reports and their interpretation. Attractive honorarium and incidental expenses at actual would be paid for the case studies accepted and approved by the Committee, for which proposals are invited at the aforementioned address.
