The Rourkela Branch of EIRC of ICAI jointly with Rourkela Branch of EICASA under the aegis of Board of Studies hosted their First National Conclave for CA students on 16th & 17th August 2014 at Civic Centre, Rourkela with the theme “CA CAREER –FOLLOW YOUR BLISS”. This Mega Event was attended by around 487 students across the Nation.

On 16th August 2014 Conclave was Inaugurated by our Chief Guest Sri R.K.Sharma, IPS, I.G. of Police (Western Odisha Range-Rourkela). Other dignitaries present for the occasion were CA P.D.Rungta, Chairman, EICASA,Vice-Chairman EIRC, CA Sunil Kumar Sahoo, Member EIRC, CA Rakesh Mohan Bagri, Chairman, Rourkela Branch and CA Vinay Gupta, Vice Chairman, Rourkela Branch. The lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries along with Past Chairmen had marked the start of the auspicious occasion.

The two day National Conclave was spread into four (4) Technical Sessions on various topics of relevance and a special Motivational Session. Total 12 students had presented their papers in the above Technical Sessions. In the absence of any member from Board of Studies ,CA P.D.Rungta, Chairman, EICASA,Vice-Chairman EIRC along with CA Sushil Goyal ,Past Chairman EIRC took Interactive session of Board of Studies on the topic of “DUMMY ARTICLESHIP”. Another Special Session named Panel discussion was carried on various parameters relating to the CA profession which was moderated by CA. Ranjeet Agarwal, Past Chairman, EIRC .In which Four CA students along with newly elected CA member presented their papers.

The Conclave not only provided the students an opportunity to express themselves by presenting technical papers in presence of highly acclaimed dignitaries but also aimed at providing a platform for CA Students to learn and discuss topics of professional importance and to exchange ideas, share views and renew contacts.

A Special Session on Motivation was taken by Mr. Aakash Gautam, India’s best motivational Trainer who by his various Interactive speeches motivated the students and taught them various skills on improving themselves by taking out time for themselves and to be focused.

The entire event was successfully managed by students. They were managing the stage, handling the registration counters, back stage support, accommodation, boarding & lodging, travel and all other areas were taken care of by the students with the help of Members.

Apart from learning there was a sparkling Cultural evening “Googly Nights” entirely carried on and performed by CA Students. The Conclave concluded with Vote of Thanks from the Branch EICASA Vice Chairman Sumit Kumar Singh

We are sure that the very First National Conclave was fruitful, enlightening and an educative experience for all the participants and that they enjoyed a feast of knowledge. The entire event was successful due to the team work and untiring efforts of around 80 Students and many CA members. The entire event was widely covered by the print and electronic media.
