Eligibility Test Scheme

Eligibility Test Paper Scheme is applicable to the Final Course students who have registered as articled clerk after passing Professional Education (Examination II). This scheme is optional for other final course students. Objectives of Test Paper Scheme are -
  • To help in the preparation for examination in a periodical and progressive manner.
  • To equip the students with proper presentation skills
  • To provide authentic parameters for benchmarking of performance of the students who prepare for the Final Examination
  • To provide useful opportunities for clarifying and crystallizing the learning experience.
  • To help reinforcing the confidence and competence of the students in articulating their ideas.
  • To impart visibility to the output of thinking and learning process of the students.
   
What is Eligibility Test Paper Scheme?
  It is a scheme through which the Board of Studies intends to keep track of the preparation made by the students and guide him about the quality of the answers. This scheme has been modified in the light of the requirement of the New Scheme of Education and Training .

Under this scheme, students have to undergo Postal Test Paper Scheme. As per the modified Postal Test Paper Scheme, a student has to submit four test papers in four different subjects out of eight subjects of the Final Course.

To qualify in a test paper a student has to secure 45 per cent marks. A student has to develop his / her own time schedule for submission of test papers. However, it is advisable to submit postal test papers well ahead of the last date such that evaluated test papers are returned back to the students on time. Generally, the Offices of the Board of Studies take 30-40 days time to return back the evaluated test papers. A student should keep adequate time margin for re-submission of test papers which he / she may fail to pass out of the test papers originally submitted.

  The Head of these offices are contact persons who will provide you all relevant information i.e.,
 
  • Whether test papers are received by the Office of the Board of Studies;
  • Why is there any delay to return you back the evaluated test papers;
  • Status of your eligibility.
   
Eligibility Certificate
  The Heads of the Offices listed above will issue you eligibility certificate on behalf of the Director of Studies once a student qualifies all the four test papers securing 45 per cent marks in each subject. There will be specific indication in the Eligibility Certificate about the examination in which you are eligible to appear for the first time.
   
Guidelines for Submission of Test Papers
  A few guidelines in connection with submission of answers to test papers are given below:
 
  • Answers to each test paper may be worked out independently after adequate preparation. Create examination conditions by yourself and write the answers without help of books etc.
  • Write your name and address, your Registration No., the test paper denomination, and the time taken for answering the test paper on top right hand side of the first page.
  • Leave sufficient margin on each page and space at the end of each answer to enable the examiner to make his comments and suggestions.
  • Working Notes, in case of practical type papers are to be submitted.
  • Send the answer papers to the Regional Office of the Institute in which you took registration, preferably through messenger/registered post and keep a proper record of dates of dispatch, copies of Postal Acknowledgement, photo copies of title sheets, etc.
Postal Test Papers
  Along with the study materials a booklet of Postal Test Papers is supplied to the students after the registration. In such a booklet, there may be more than one test papers per subject, but the student has to submit only one test paper per subject.
   
Physically Handicapped Students
  A physically handicapped student has to submit and pass only in two test papers of two different subjects under postal test paper scheme.
