As students are aware, under the new scheme of Education and Training students should successfully complete the requirements of Compulsory Computer Training for 250 hours, prior to registration as articled clerks.

Students registered for PE I / PE II could undergo this course along with their studies for PE I / PE II. Attendance in this course would however be optional for those students who are already registered as articled clerks under the old scheme or those who are registered as articled clerks after passing Foundation and are pursuing Professional Education Course II. However the Board recommends that such students should also take this practical training for their own benefit.

The details regarding the modalities of implementation of this training and the centres where such training could be undertaken are under finalisation. The same will be announced in the Students’ Newsletter ‘The Chartered Accountant Student’ and also publicised through the Regional Councils/Branches and the Institute’s Website: www.icai.org. Students are advised to keep a watch.
