Students of Professional Education (Course-I), who have switched over to Common Proficiency Test Course (CPT) after appearing in Professional Education (Examination-I) held in November, 2006, should normally pursue the CPT Course under the New Scheme of Education and Training. Among these students, who have been declared passed in Professional Education (Examination-I), are granted special permission as part of transition scheme to retain the result and seek cancellation of their CPT registration. Such students may apply to the Head of the concerned Decentralized Office in the prescribed Form. They may also apply for admission to Professional Competence Course and registration of articleship. This special concession should be treated as one time relaxation only.
It is further clarified to all students of Professional Education (Course-I) that in case they wish to continue with the existing course, they should not switch over to CPT Course or take simultaneous registration to CPT Course. Once a student registered for CPT course, he / she ceases to be a student of Professional Education (Course-I) and, therefore, he / she is not entitled to appear in Professional Education (Examination-I). If any student of Professional Education (Course-I) after switching over to CPT appears in Professional Education (Examination-I), his / her examination will not be valid.
