measure to develop employment opportunities for Chartered Accountants,
Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of ICAI has been
successfully organizing placement programmes twice a year for Newly
Qualified Chartered Accountants, wherein prospective employers and new
members interact and explore the possibility of taking up employment

Ascent is a step ahead as an extension to the same programme but with a
different objective. It aims at providing the experienced Chartered
Accountants with a platform to assess their potential and refinement in
work, which they have acquired during their working tenure.

ELIGIBILITY
OF CANDIDATES FOR CAREER ASCENT | |||||||||||||||||
|
Chartered
Accountants fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to take part
in Career Ascent. ·
having the membership of
Institute as on 1st January, 2011 ·
who have 1 year or more
than one year of Industry experience. ·
passed · The members who have got placements through the placement programme organized by the Institute between 01.01.2010 to 31.12.2010 are not eligible to apply. Important

FOR THE PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS | |||||||||||||||||

Timings

companies participating will have to register online on placement portal
http://www.cmii.icai.org/ . ·
The
participation fees should be remitted at ICAI head office ·
Access to
the candidate database shall be allowed only after the receipt of participation fee by

The
companies can access the database through the placement portal http://www.cmii.icai.org/. ·
Participating
companies will have to provide the list of shortlisted candidates online
on placement portal http://www.cmii.icai.org/. ·
Final
list of candidates appearing for interview will be available online on
placement portal http://www.cmii.icai.org/ one day after consent date by
candidate at respective centres. ·
Shortlisting
of the candidates by the company is restricted to 10 times of the
number of vacancies in that particular organization ·
Once a
company has selected any candidate and the offer is accepted by the
candidate it is the responsibility of the company to inform the organizers
and providing the offer letter duly signed by them to the and the
candidate who had accepted the offer. ·
The
companies participating have to offer a minimum CTC of Rs.6.00
lakhs to the candidates in the Career Ascent Programme.

Only one
room will be provided to each company for the conducting of Interview
process. ·
Kindly
note that no Written Test/Psychometric Test will be conducted prior to
Interview Process on the scheduled day. ·

Terms: Participation
fee shall be payable by way of Cheque / Demand Draft in favour of 'The
Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India' payable at New
Delhi and should be sent to The Secretary, CMII, The Institute of

2: On receipt of
the responses to the above questions, the

participating entity is required to do the online registration on www.cmii.icai.org
and fill up the Proforma & payment Form and upload their presentation in
their login for the information of the candidates.
Step 5: On the
completion of online registration and the receipt of the participation fees the

shortlisting of the candidates within the specified time frame for the
respective centres as per the schedule of placement programme.

Steps for submission of online form for candidate on www.cmii.icai.org for Career
Ascent Programme
(start from 4th January, 2011)
Category 1: Members not registered with www.cmii.icai.org and are eligible for Career Ascent
Programme.
Step 1: Initial registration: click on http://www.cmii.icai.org/new_cand.asp?typeofcandidate=S and generate your password.
Step 2: click on http://www.cmii.icai.org/ca_login.asp?typeofcandidate=S and login by giving your Institute Membership Number as user name and password which you have chosen earlier. Fill the registration form which is divided into nine parts.
Step 3: Click on Apply for Job Fair tab and Submit your form after which you will be directed to next page for submission of security deposit.
Step 4: Submit the security deposit through online channel. Also note after filling the form, security deposit may be submitted at a later stage by log in again but before the last date of registration (14th January, 2011).
Step 5: After the receipt and verification of payment, centre code (CAL-!!!) would be allotted to you within 24 to 72 working hours.
Step 6: After code generation i. e. successful completion of registration for Career Ascent candidates should take the print out of the Print Profile which they are required to mandatorily carry while visiting for the Interviews.
